Mother’s Day 2019
John 13:34
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
A Mother’s love – Some people laugh at Mother Love.
Let’s look closer at the Great Command of the New Covenant.
Human love is often conditional – You scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back.
“As I have Loved you” Sacrificial – Roman cross, Jesus loved us as if he owed us everything, but did he?
“Love one another” We are to love others – relate to people as if we owed them everything!
“So you MUST love one another” This love is the flow of the New Covenant.
What did Jesus expect in return? He didn’t know if we would even repent and surrender our lives to him.
