Pastor Kim Wenzel

Born and raised (never reared) in Western Canada, Kim grew up in a wilderness setting, and became involved in mountaineering at an early age. In his early twenties, he experienced an African lady dying in front of his eyes in the nation of Rhodesia, Africa. Life changing it was, and Kim returned home, gave his life to Christ, went to Bible college, and pastored churches for 23 years. That also was life changing.

Kim also works with Open Doors USA- a ministry to the global persecuted church. Through counseling burned-out pastors globally, and drawing awareness to the persecuted church, Kim has learned a lot about the modern Western Church – and you probably don’t want to know . .

One can listen to Pastor Kim on Saturday nights at 6pm on radio

Leadership Goals

To be led by the Holy Spirit with others of the fellowship who have been inspired, gifted, and called to serve as instruments of the Lord.

Vision for the Future

First is to be part of a growing family of faith who are willing to use their gifts and think outside of the usual way of doing things.  No idea is too outlandish.  It may be the catalyst into a ministry God will ordain and bless.  We want to see an attitude where folks are proud and anxious to invite family and friends to attend and participate in worshipping our Sovereign Lord of creation.

“The church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.”

1 Timothy 3:15

Commentators only agree that this is one of the most variously interpreted verses in the Bible.  So, I share my personal view, realizing there are many other possibilities.  I believe this refers to the church as all the body of believers who delight serving in obedience under the authority of God our Creator.  It is the New Testament earthly manifestation of God’s presence, which in the Old Testament was in the Holy of Holies, and is now the reality of the presence of the Holy Spirit living and inspiring believers to radiate the Holy truth of the scripture revelation to the cultures in which we live.

Watchman Nee was a Christian minister in mainland China who was imprisoned for his faith until his death in 1972.  He said, “Let us know that there are two principles in the universe:  the principle of GOD’S authority and the principle of satanic rebellion.”  And “our entire relationship with GOD is regulated by whether or not we have met authority.”

Pillars hold up a structure.  We as a church body are to hold up the Word of God to our community.  The church (a body of believers) is to be the earthly entity through which the authority of God is imparted to the world.
